We have three types of braces:
Small silver braces These are most common choice.They are small ,esthetically excellent and quite durable. The adolescents enjoy having different color ties placed at each visit. Clear transparent braces Many of our adult patients opt for this choice. This is the optimum choice for esthetics. Gold plated braces We offer gold plated braces. We offer this for some of our more adventurous patients who like to show off their braces- redheads love them!!!!
Because of new technology, our patients can be seen every 6 to 8 weeks. The development of Nickel Titanium and Titanium Molybdenum Alloy arch wires enable us to see our patients less while speeding up treatment progress.
The placement and adjustment of the braces are painless. After the placement of wires, the teeth will usually get sore about 2 hours after the adjustment and that soreness lasts for 2 to 3 days. The teeth hurt when pressure is placed on them (when you chew).There is no pain unless you touch your teeth. This pain is easily handled with Tylenol. So there is discomfort for 2 to 3 days out of 42 days(the usual interval between appointments.)
